In this presentation, Beth Martino of AHCA will share best practices for messaging and marketing in long term care, including key findings from a nationwide poll on long term care that focused on how consumers feel about certain imagery, messaging, messengers, and other aspects important to long term care communicators.

Selling Senior Living During, and After, a Pandemic
Michael Marlow, vice president of sales education, Watercrest Senior Living

This session will focus on creating a new perspective and changing the approach to reaching potential residents in long term care settings. The presenter will show attendees how to best utilize a “selling to the individual” model versus a “marketing to the collective” model. The presenter will share field-tested, action-oriented steps, which can be implemented easily to build your census. The presenter will discuss specific strategies to improve occupancy, especially at a time when our industry has been constantly under scrutiny and attitudes about long term care may have shifted.

Investing in Diversity and Inclusion: How DEI and Marketing Efforts Intersect

Marketing and community relations professionals are in a unique position to advance their community’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts. In this session, the presenter will showcase how marketing professionals can embrace and amplify diverse voices in their marketing. The presenter will offer techniques for how to communicate DEI efforts to current and prospective residents, family, and staff. She will discuss how to create DEI accessible marketing materials, which are inclusive of BIPOC communities, and use storytelling to connect cultures and community members.
